The fact that you run around wailing on Summit dwarves with brass knuckles is something I never would've imagined I'd have so much doing. GG Anet
That had me also. Very fun quest line. I also like the fact that they gave us a set of skills and knuckles for it, so virtually anyone could do the quest line and have a blast doing it.

Now THAT one needs to be repeatable, that was awesome.

The boxing is fun too but not as good as Kilroy's 'vengeance'

OT: We loved it and my wife and I are both grumbling that we have to wait a week now to go further.

Loved GWEN from what I could see. The quests were great so far. And there were enemies with actual builds rather than a handful of random skills.

The minigames were awesome, I actually didn't explore as much of the dungeons as I would have wanted since I was playing the games. Had to make myself leave town after I got my crown and finished the boxing quests from kilroy. Hehe, two brawlers rush a cave full of summit and laid the smackdown. Now that's fun. Too bad outside town thunderfists are just daggers, I'd have liked to be able to box outside town too. I'm hoping there's some boxing form like the wolf and bear forms that you can use outside town if your dwarf rep is high enough. And loved the norn tourney. Thom as a hamstorm, and alesia listening to people about how she leeroys like a whammo. Classic. Then there's pimpmaster M who 55's in a RA tourney. And cynn who joined the tourney to drag him home

And that cute innocent rabbit, heading down a path to a hidden garden. I haven't actually been surprised and so hard pressed for a long time. Loved it. Anet really went to town with GWEN. And Jora is as purty as she looks in all the leaked pics

There's only two things I didn't like in the whole preview. Needing so much faction for armours, I'm hoping that this was just to prevent most from getting full armours right off and that the title reqs will lower once GWEN goes live. The only other thing I didn't like is now having to wait before I can play GWEN again. GG anet, you got me hooked. Anychance of GWEN going live earlier? Like today?

I am very happy with what ANet has done. The "questifying" of missions has made the game flow so much better along with the story line. I love the quests, and, yes Magni is still kicking my ass.

As for the detractors, I'm not really sure what people who don't like to quest actually expect to do in a PvE expansion. 0.O

I have known people who never quest and just go out an kill things, and I find that BORING, but even doing that in EOTN is a lot more fun because of the really cool reputation point acquisition system.

Gold weapons at the end of a dungeon takes me back to my fun dungeon crawling days of yore.

EOTN rocks, I am very glad I got the preview access.

I think it looks like a great franchise expander. It looks like plenty to keep me occupied for a long time. I prefer the dungeon crawls to questing myself, but the dungeons are awesome. I only did 2, but they were great - Beautiful, challenging but doable, and fun.

I really like the way reputation "snowballs" if you're clearing an area and doing quests, too. Maybe Anet could retrofit the way Kurzick faction is acquired (hint, hint).

So far I'm loving the expansion. Only wish work didn't have to come first and cost me so many hours playing...oh and that annoying sleep thing GW:EN seems much livelier than than the campaigns. It was funny when I saw all the henchies standing around in their little cliches chatting, or Menlo and Cynn off by themselves arguing.

The one thing that I didn't realize was that Mehnlo was a 55 in the tourney. I play a mes.. So I'd hit him with backlash and conjure phantasm and then poof.. no more Mehnlo.. I thought he was broken there for a while til someone mentioned the 55 thing.

Don't mind me folks, I just need to bask in the positivity a little while longer...

Ok now that I've done that: L-O-V-E love!
I loved returning to Tyria. I've always been somewhat fond of the shiverpeaks but the far shiverpeaks <3.
I loved the new heroes.
I loved the new armours (possibly one of the few around that does).
I loved the new mini-games. Solo arena against some of the most common builds around
I loved the way they've done the quests, loved the cut-scenes midquest.
I loved the landscape, the forest at night <3.
I loved the small bits of the dungeons I did.
I really, really loved the preview weekend even though I only got to play about 6 hours of it - unless they extend it and I can play some more when I get home from work.

This. Pretty much exactly; I loved that quest.

The maps actually feel open now. Its rather nice, doesn't feel nearly so hemmed in.

And the music is fantastic, I particularly like the fight music. Hearing those trumpets come in right when I was starting to think I was going to win 'Defend the Eye' this time... that was great. (And yeah, I did beat it that time.)

The game just rolls through. Its epic. It has Vekk.

Cold as Ice - this was the best quest I have ever done in any game. I can only hope that there are more quests like this.

It's all in your point of view. I don't base a game on what someone else says. It seems forums are becoming more negative all the time. That isn't to say I'm a fangurl, either. If I don't find a game fun, or my kind of enjoyment, I say why and just leave. There is no need for whining.

I loved it. The first campaign is my favorite and they did a VERY good job bringing the classic non "cluttery" feel to it. Most of the quests etc in Factions and NF seemed soo pointless, go get this and what not. But the quests in hee are actually a challenge and the dungeons are awesome!!

Also... KIIILLLROOOY STONESKIN!!!

haha. yeah. kilroy.

i loved this weekend. although i didnt get to get on as much as i would have wanted, i had fun.
for the first time in my 26+ month gw career.. i actually felt "immersed" in the game. when *SPOILER* (if you havent gotten that far) Jora had to take out her brother. made me feel very bad.

on a positive note. The new skins and dungeons are awesome.

on another negative note.. i didnt beat any dungeons because i want on long enough to get to any. well.. i got to Sepulchre of Dragrimmar.. but i was almost to the boss and my brother turned off the electicity in the house. i guess he had a reason to.. since i had locked him out of the house and all. oh well.

Thumbs up

Thank you for starting this thread!
I loved it all too... far from being the 'same old thing, just more areas to do it in', GW:EN brings a new feel to Guild Wars. But on the other hand, it's not SO new that it's confusing or feels like you're learning a new game.

Bug-wise, I can't believe that there were so few! I know there's a lot of yelping over the hero issue when the preview ended, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Kudos to the programmers, who not only had to worry about building the game, but the preview experience as well. It would take a lot of thought and planning.

GREAT JOB!!

I've seen enough in the sneak peek. Sold! Without over analyzing everything I just feel that I haven't experienced that level of fun since I first played Prophecies. Rabbits made me laugh out loud.

Besides my main gaming computer constantly crashing and having to work this weekend. The preview was ok and decent, except the HoM.

What game are you playing?? Because quests have been in the game since the beginning. They are part of the storyline and you receive rewards. It’s the whole premise of the game and most MMORPGs. I don’t understand how you think, it’s not making sense.

This game was not just a grind fest… wtf?!? Did you forget there were minigames, dungeons, new quests that not only brought back great characters but introduced new ones and their storylines, and also the whole idea of exploring a beautiful new area?? And titles are not that bad… anyone who matters pretty much agrees. The only reason you need titles is to get armor or weapons with a different skin (you already have access to the highest al armor so it’s not that big of a deal) and to improve some of your PvE skills (which you already have access to hundreds of skills that require attribute levels and not a title). Really, they do not take away from the game, they simply give you something to work towards if you want to, it is not required.

Ok, that’s just stupid… someone expresses their love of the game and you write that?? Seriously, stfu.

Now that he’s been put into his place, I just want to say what a fun weekend. Everything was so amazing it drowned out all of the flaws in HoM (which is probably not going to be the final piece). Job well done Anet! and I definitely want to praise the art team. Those dungeons are beautiful. I took many pictures

I simply loved this weekend. So I have no doubt at all that GW:EN will simply rock. Cmon ,you follow a cute lil bunny and end up being ambushed by a huge mob..that's just awesome :d
Also, the dungeons are great, they look amazing, they're somewhat challenging (chromatic drakes FTW) and they can get you quite a reward.
The quests are actually fun playing AND again very rewarding(lockpick/powerstone of courage/etc). So basicly: awesome

I love this game so far, the increased difficulty makes it a lot more fun. I love how enemies have more than one profession this time, and actually use team builds that work good!

Art team has once again gone above and beyond, as the scenery and new skins look excellent.

I also find it cool how henchies now talk to each other in town, instead of just standing in a line.

Storyline = a lot of improvement. Much better lore than previous Guild Wars campaigns.

IMO I think Anet just needs to work on the HoM and you've got an incredible game.
